I am Iva Ilieva, an Art Director
currently working and living
in San Francisco.
Design has always been a part of my life. It began as a hobby and a curiosity for creativity since my childhood. However, it didn’t take long for it to blossom into a full-blown passion. I have been fortunate enough to now call it my profession for over the past 11 years.
As a Senior Art Director I’m a master at creating innovative concepts then executing them into powerful digital marketing and communication material for responsive websites, mobile applications, branded content, and social media. I thrive on managing multiple projects and juggling tight deadlines, all while translating client needs and desires into compelling visual designs that are based on specific marketing and business objectives.
After a decade of in-depth experience I have gained a strong knowledge of UX/UI, user behavior, and user interactivity, as well as an incredible understanding of design conversion for creating extremely profitable products. I have extensive experience with photo shoots, conceptual thinking, and translating core ideas into concepts that meet the clients’ strategic goals.
I love to travel and scout locations for photoshoots. For me, there is nothing better than spending a day outside, Art Directing photo shoots to gather the exact assets I had in mind to make my vision come to life on the web.
What I’ve found to be most rewarding about design is that it allows me to express my feelings while still inspiring people and connecting users to make their lives easier with positive user experiences.
I am also passionate about healthy lifestyle, fitness, traveling, and my family and friends. Having the opportunity to either work outdoors or inside in front of my computer with the task of improving the everyday lives of people, whether through good e-commerce, art apps, or sportswear, is ultimately what completes me as a creative individual. They always say “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” It must be true because I’m living it.
